I'm sorry, Mario...

Welcome to Another Castle, a fanlisting for the iconic, the classic, and the pioneering 1985 platform video game, Super Mario Bros. developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Like many others, Super Mario Bros. was the first video game I ever played. I still remember the day my grandmother came home with an NES and the combo cartridge with this game and Duck Hunt. It sparked a love and obsession not only for Mario, but for video games, that's lasted my entire life.

I've beat Super Mario Bros. more times than I can count. Thirty years have passed since the game first debuted, but it is just as much fun to play now as it was back then. Whether you are a long time fan of this influential game like I am, or if you have recently discovered and enjoyed it on newer Nintendo consoles, please browse the links to the left and join the list of fans! This fanlisting aims to list fans from all over the world. You do not have to have a website to join, just a love for this great game.

Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario Bros. Debuting on the NES in 1985, Super Mario Bros. is the first in a long series of Mario titles. A side-scrolling platformer, the player controls Mario or Luigi as they run, jump, and defeat enemies as they make their way to a goal post, getting closer and closer to defeating Koopa (Bowser) and rescuing the kidnapped Princess Toadstool (Peach). The game was a commercial and critical success, resulting in the game being re-released on almost every Nintendo console. If you would like to play the game today, you can currently buy it on the Wii, Wii U, or 3DS Virtual Console.
